Hi, I am going to buy my first rep watch today, which should be the Datejust with grey dial. I want to buy the watch from JTime, because I had read about the guaranteed shipping in Europe. The Question I have now is what is the big difference between the ARF and VSF. Is it worth to pay 150$ more for the VSF? whats your opinion on these two?Lume: ARF lume is considerably weaker. Weight: ARF is 9g lighter but this is only really noticeable when holding each watch in opposite hands. Other minor differences: The ROLEX text is nearly there but not quite, and the rehaut engraving is pretty rough, but these are only noticeable under detailed inspection.

But now that Rolex has doubled down on the 42mm size and iterated it with a second reference a decade after the first, I think a comparison to the pre-2011 size is less relevant. There have been five Explorer II references in all, three prior to the jump north of 40mm in 2011 (the 1655, 16550, 16570).
