5504 Explorer Super Precision. I recently bought this 5504 from a family who had the watch since new , it’s a 1958 but was fully serviced by Rolex in 1992 having the hands, dial etc replaced. Does anyone have any info on this particular service dial that does not have the Explorer text on it? While not always recognised a a true Explorer, the 5504 'Airking' Explorers are still not easy to come by. This, the Super Precision model, was only in production for a couple of years before changing to the 'Precision' for the remainder of the 1960's. This will, I feel, polarise opinion.
