I'm not 100% sure when the changeover happened, probably 82-83 but as it's Rolex nobody knows Only some of the earliest 1680s would have come with a silver datewheel. Most & anything serviced by Rolex would have a white wheel. The font is the critical detail. Check out some gens & compare the fonts (slightly serifed) to yours. If it is off enough to bug you, search out a better overlay.
